Many directors, actors and actresses have endeavored to capture the essence of the characters from this tale. Recently, Disney asked Tim Burton to tell the tale his way. And the results of that interpretation has been nothing short of incredible.
Now, you can put together your own Alice costume without breaking the bank. Start first with a white skirt or shift which goes to your knees. Add lace trim to the hem if the shift does not already have it.
You will also need a simple light blue dress, which buttons either in back or in front. For the sake of being authentic, you may want to try to make it with short and puffy sleeves, and with a pan-style collar.
You may want a few accessories to complete your costume. There is, of course, the requisite blond hair, and perhaps a black bow to hold your hair back. However, you may also wear white stockings, and black shoes. Some other accessories may include a large “clock” handbag.
